Players should check in with the Professional at least 20 minutes before the start time.
The number in the party must not exceed that indicated in the application and a list of players taking part must be provided when paying the Green Fees. Players should observe normal golfing courtesies and etiquette on the course, including repairing pitch marks replacing divots and raking bunkers.
All players should have a current handicap certificate with them on the day. The Club reserves the right to refuse access to the course to anyone who does not have a handicap certificate.
There is a Practice Area at Gailes for use by Members and Visitors. Practice balls are available from the Professional at a cost of £1 for 25.
Visitors will normally play off the yellow (6322 yards) or blue (5553 yards) tees. The blue tees are not designated as ladies’ tees, but ladies may prefer to play from them, although they are welcome to play from the yellow tees. If they so wish Professionals on production of a PGA card and Amateurs with a handicap no higher than 6, may, on obtaining approval from the starter, play off the white (medal) tees (6635 yards).
Players are asked to play at a pace that does not hold up or spoil the enjoyment of others. The pace of play will be monitored by Course Marshalls.
